The Q&A Archives: Obtaining Kiwi Plants

Question: Please tell me where I can order kiwi plants. Will they grow and produce satisfactorily in my area (Clinton is located in central Mississippi between Jackson and Vicksburg)? None of the local nurseries have plants.<br>

Answer: Hardy Kiwi (Actinidia arguta 'Issai') are available from Burpee. The hardiness range is zones 3-9, so you should be fine. This variety usually fruits the second year (with appropriate care) and is self polllinating. If you would like to obtainthis plant, simply call Burpee at 1-800-888-1447 to request a catalog, or, revisit the website. Enjoy!
