The Q&A Archives: Trees

Question: How do I kill the roots of a half dead apple tree and a weeping willow without destroying my lawn or the other bushes around them?

Answer: Start by making fresh cuts through the trunks of the trees or the exposed roots. You can use Round-Up, full strength and paint it on the cuts. Be careful, if you get it on any live plants, they will be killed.
