| I have a couple of very large bleeding hearts. They just about completed their bloom.....( would like to move them and if possible divide them also.....would this be ok without killing them? |
| It is possible to divide Dicentra spectabilis, however early spring or fall would be the preferred times to do it. (I did find a reference indicating it could be done just as it goes dormant in the summer, however I have not tried that myself.) Keep in mind that the roots are deep and also brittle when you dig your divisions. |
