I have a couple of very large bleeding hearts. They just about completed their bloom.....( would like to move them and if possible divide them also.....would this be ok without killing them?

It is possible to divide Dicentra spectabilis, however early spring or fall would be the preferred times to do it. (I did find a reference indicating it could be done just as it goes dormant in the summer, however I have not tried that myself.) Keep in mind that the roots are deep and also brittle when you dig your divisions.
