The Q&A Archives: How do I get a colorful garden in TX

Question: I live in central TX don't know what colorful plants grow well here. I also live on post housing therefore nothing can be planted into the ground. I don't have lots of money or space but I love to relax outside and want something bueatiful to look at while out there.

Answer: Renee,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

I suggest the following plants for large containers: Yellow Bells (Tecoma stans), Salvia 'Mystic Spires', Luna Hibiscus, and various varieties of Lantana.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
