The Q&A Archives: crape myrtle branch

Question: crape myrtle branch broke off. can I root the three ft. branch? Thank you

Answer: Rosalyn,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Broken off branches cannot usually be rooted. It takes succulent to semihardwood shoots for rooting to be successful.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
