These plants root easily. You can root the entire arm, or take sections. Take cuttings with a sharp knife and allow the cut to callus for a few days. Use a cactus soil mix. Fill a pot about 1/3 full, put the cutting in, then fill to just below the rim. Rooting hormone isn't really needed. Keep in bright light, but out of direct sun. A temperature range of 64-75 F is ideal. Mist with water occasionally, but don't overwater as the cuttings may easily rot. They should root within 3-12 weeks. Good luck! |
