| Robert, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! Stumps can be ground out to kill and remove them in one step. Products labeled for poison ivy and brush control can be painted in a strong solution onto cut surfaces of the trunk to help kill the plant. Thanks for the question.
