The Q&A Archives: grapefruit tree

Question: i planted a grapefruit tree last yr.its smal 3 ft.
it has 3 fruits starting to grow....will they be good to eat this yr ?

Answer: As long as your tree has the energy to develop the fruits to maturity, the fruit will be edible. Don't be surprised if your tree drops one or two of the partially developed fruit, though. Most young trees cannot sustain life plus develop fruit. If yours does, consider it a bonus and a preview of coming attraction.
