I planted a lemon tree in March, that I purchased from Home Depot, and it has been doing wonderful. Flowering and then starting to produce lemons, but they don't survive. The lemons while still very small are turning black or falling off the tree. Is it sick or are bugs getting to it?

Angela,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Fruit drop is very common on citrus and is generally not a major cause for concern as trees can set a full crop if only about 5% of the blooms end up maturing fruit. Keep the soil moist but not soggy wet to help it maintain as many fruits as it can.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
