The Q&A Archives: bushes

Question: is there an easy way to uproot bushes?

Answer: Kilan,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

You can dig around them and then attach a strong rope or chain to them and to a pickup bumper some distance away. Then gently pull them out. If they don't budge initially cut some more roots and then pull again. A come-along tool tied to a nearby tree will also work well.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
