The Q&A Archives: Non-deciduas trees

Question: I am looking for a fast growing ornamental tree in a semi-shade area that is non-deciduas. Have large oak trees all around. Live in San Antonio, Tx

Answer: Arlene,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

You might consider a 'Little Gem' Magnolia, a cherry laurel trained into a tree form by removing lower limbs, or a Mexican olive.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
