My orchids have green leaves but one of the them has not bloomed in the last year. And the other two have lost their blooms. I was wondering the best way to increase the chances/ production of blooms. ( I repotted them recently also) |
Jessica, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! Orchids come in many types and each has different cultural preferences. With moth orchids they need to be outside in the fall for a couple of weeks when temps are about 50-60 degrees to initiate the bloom buds that will open in Jan or Feb. See the following web sites for lots more good info on orchids: http://primera.tamu.edu/orchid... http://www.orchidlady.com/page... http://www.orchidlady.com/main... Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
