My neighbor feeds the squirrels peanuts, then they come over into my bed of flowers and dig up my plants to bury their treasure. What can I use to deter them from using my bed? I would like to find something that I can pick up at any local HD store, preferably something fairly inexpensive. Thank you.

You might be able to repel them using a spray on or granular repellent labeled for squirrels or rodents. Another option might be to cover the soil with wire mesh such as chicken wire. Also, sometimes pepper wax spray will protect plants from squirrel damage. I hope this helps.
