The Q&A Archives: Box Elder Bugs

Question: Remedy for Box Elder Bugs

Answer: Since box elder bugs actually do very little damage, they are considered to be a nuisance rather than a danger to gardens and plants in need of control. The general recommendation is to exclude them from your home by caulking and screening any openings and then to ignore them as best we can. If you have a severe problem with them you may want to contact your local county extension and see if they have more specific control recommendations.
