The house we now live in, the garden area have been filled in with white rocks to keep the weeds down (i guess). I would like to remove the rocks and put in a flower garden. I do not want a raised garden because I do not want to cover my basement windows. My question is what do I do with all of the rocks? Do you think a landscape company would take them if I dig them up? Any suggestions. I have no area in the yard to dump them either.

You could certainly call landscape companies and see what they say. I too had a similar situation and after raking the rocks and accumulating them into a (large) pile in my driveway, I placed an ad in the local paper for "free rocks, you haul" and received so many calls I had to take my phone off the hook. (They went to a gentleman who planned to use them in his commercial-sized barbecue smoker.) You might put the word out among gardening friends and see if anyone is building an alpine scree, pathway, or Japanese style garden. Another option might be to recycle them in a pathway of your own. I hope this gives you some ideas.
