The Q&A Archives: Planning a Garden Bed

Question: I've seen landscapers use some sort of spray paint to mark out borders for planting beds.

Can you use ANY spray paint or is there something that is better to use for this purpose?

Answer: Susan,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

A spray type latex paint is fine. You can also use an old garden hose to lay out beds. This allows you to adjust the shape and design until you get it just right.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
