The Q&A Archives: Black raspberries

Question: How far apart should black and red raspberries be planted and why?

Answer: Red raspberries sometimes carry a disease that does little harm to them but can be fatal to black raspberries. For this reason, it's best to plant them in different areas of your garden. It's fine to plant different varieties of red raspberries in close proximity.
