I like to sit out on my back porch, but there are millions of flies hovering around on the grass and just flying around. They bite me and bother me!! How do I get rid of them without using something that will hurt my pets?

Carol,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Flies can be a challenge. There are products such as citronella candles that can be used to make them leave the immediate area. There is also repellants that we can use on us to discourage biting pests.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
