I am having problems with mushrooms growing in my yard. How can I stop it and why is it happening. |
Mushrooms can indicate overly wet soil conditions, poor drainage, or something underground that's decomposing. Sometimes old tree roots or construction debris can be what's causing mushrooms to sprout in lawns and garden beds. The best defense for your lawn is to fertilize regularly, mow as often as necessary to keep the lawn about 2 - 2 1/2" tall, and water deeply once each week to encourage deep roots. |
