Eric,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

The lawn problem really needs an accurate identification so the proper fungicide can be recommended. I suggest you take a sample to your County Extension Office and see if they can identify the problem and if necessary prescribe an appropriate remedy. In lieu of that identification you might try a product containing Myclobutanil as they are effective against a wide range of fungi.

For the hawthorn leaf spot try alternating between products containing chlorothalonil and propiconazole. The most important times to spray and the mild weather of fall and spring.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
