I sent this question out last week and have not heard back.

I recently bought a Desert Rose plant. Should I leave it in it's pot or plant it in the garden?

How will the rainy season affect it?

Thank you,

Joanne Steele, [email protected]

Joanne,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

You can plant desert rose in the garden or in a pot. Keep in mind that temps below freezing will kill it so putting it in the ground is a bit risky in your area. Plant it on a raised mound in well drained soil to avoid soggy roots which is not good for the plant and in fact can be deadly.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
