The Q&A Archives: Asiatic Lilies

Question: Hi, i bought 2 different kinds of Asiatic lilies, both r pink, one darker the other softer colour...they r still in two different tiny pots...i was wondering if i can pot both of them together in one huge pot, making then look real beautiful. My question is will potting them together harm the lilies?? is it advisable???

Answer: Repotting your lilies into a single pot shouldn't hurt them a bit. Use fresh potting soil and a nursery pot with adequate drainage holes in the bottom. Lilies are seasonal bloomers so you might want to wait until they have finished blooming and then pot them up. If you try to move them while they are still in full flower, the stress may make them drop their beautiful flowers.

Best wishes with your lilies!
