This is my first year planting gadioli bulbs. They've just begun to bloom and look beautiful. I'd like to know what to do about the bulbs in the winter? Do I leave them in the ground, or do I have to dig them up? It doesn't ever get too cold here.

Ann,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

In your warm southern climate you can leave the in the ground. Digging is not necessary. They do need good drainage however.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
