I have a window box that is in the shade all day. What plants prefer shade and make a good combination for a window box?

Some annuals to consider include impatiens, wax begonias, browallia, catharanthus (vinca), coleus, fuchsias, lobelia and mimulus. Perennials for shade include hosta, bergenia, bleeding heart, columbine, coral bells, dwarf daylilies, ferns and forget-me-nots. For even more ideas, visit your local garden center and look for shade-loving plants.

Best wishes with your window box!
