Mounbtain laurel is slow growing and requires little if any pruning, the natural shape is usually very attractive. Remove any dead or damaged branches as they occur. You might also selectively remove a branch if it seems out of proportion to the rest of the plant. The best time to do this type of pruning would be right after it blooms.
