The Q&A Archives: what to do with bulbs

Question: What do I do with my hyacinth bulbs and starfire lilly bulbs after the blooms and the leaves have dried?

Answer: After the foliage has ripened you can cut it off at soil level. Both hyacinth and lily bulbs can be left in the ground. You might want to mark where they are planted so you don't accidentally dig them up. Next spring they will sprout new leaves and new flowers. Enjoy!
