The Q&A Archives: Bark Slab for Arrowhead Plant

Question: I need a moss or bark totem pole for my Arrowhead plant. There doesn't seem to be such a thing in Fort Myers, Fla. Do you know where I can get one?

Answer: I'm guessing you mean that slab of wood/bark that you often see vining houseplants growing on. Although it could be that any slab of would would do--especially if it still has the bark on it. Unfortunately, I checked several catalogs, and couldn't find any reference to this product.

I'm giving you the names of several companies that specialize in tropical plants/orchids, etc. If they can't sell you one directly, maybe they can direct you to someone who can.

Brudy's Exotics (Houston, TX), ph# 800-926-7333, web site:

The Banana Tree, Inc.
