I have a flower bed on the North side of my house that gets NO shade. I would like to plant a lower growing, evergreen shrub. Can you suggest some that would do well in deep shade? I do not like the box woods or hollies. |
A location on the north side with no direct sun at all can be difficult to plant. You might try Aucuba japonica or Sarcococca hookeriana var. humilis in deep shade. Another option if the area is generally bright even though there is no direct sun, might be Prunus laurocerasus "Otto Luyken". You could also consider the semi-evergeen Nandina. I hope this gives you some ideas. |
