We have been having a problem with all our junipers getting brown and dying back, some are 8 - 10 yrs old some are 25 yrs. Some are Tam's and I am not sure what the others are I notice other yards with the same problem. I hate to loose them they cover a major bank at our house. I look forward to your reply. |
I'm sorry you are having a problem with your junipers. Based on your description I am not able to diagnose the problem -- it might be an insect problem such as bagworms or it might be a disease problem such as tip blight. I would strongly suggest you work with your local Penn state county extenstion to obtain a specific diagnosis of the problem and based on knowing that, decide how to treat them. If a chemical control is needed, they will have the most up to date information on what to use and how/when is best to apply it for maximum results. In the meantime here is some information about bagworms and tip blight you may find interesting. You may need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly. http://plantclinic.cornell.edu... http://www.ca.uky.edu/entomolo... |
