i would like to know the pre-immergant that can be used in a garden hose sprayer and also the hand held broadcast type spreader. and also would this pre-immergant work for the other type weeds in ones lawn as well?

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

There are a number of different preemergent herbicides on the market. Each works on a certain group of weeds so it is difficult to generalize. Pre-emergent herbicides pendimethalin and bensulide control germinating annual bluegrass and crabgrass in lawns. They must be applied before the grass germinates.
