Due to our naeibor's overgrowth, we are now dealing with Johnson grass. Is there any chemical that wlll destroy it without destroying our flowerbed. Also nut grass? |
Letisha, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! There are basically two options for controlling those two weeds: Digging them up along with rhizomes and tubers, or wiping a strong solution of a product with glyphosate in it (Roundup is one brand) onto the foliage. The product will translocate down into the plant and kill it. Repeat treatment as needed until you get rid of all of it. Mix the product at the strongest label rate. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
