How do I fertilize cactus and succulents? |
Patricia, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! Cactus and succulents don't need much fertilizing and in fact too much nitrogen can cause them to grow weaker and more stretched. I would use a soluble plant food such as Miracle Gro or Peters 20-20-20 at the lower label rate once a month or so. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season.
