I used to live in southern New Jersey, and still go back to visit, and what are sold there in the summer as "Jersey tomatoes" have the most wonderful flavor. I don't know if they're a specific variety, or if the salt air makes them tasteso good. Do you know anything about Jersey tomatoes?

Sure do...the traditional "Jersey tomato" is a variety called 'Rutgers', and you're right it is delicious. This variety is available from Burpee's Heirloom catalog. To obtain one, call 1-800-888-1447 or, revisit the website.
