The Q&A Archives: planting help

Question: Leyland Cypress Evergreens - what is the proper spacing for planting these trees in a row 66 feet long?

Answer: These are very large trees if left to grow to their full size, maturing in the range of 60 feet tall and 10 to 15 feet wide. When planted in a hedge style, they are often clipped to keep them shorter and narrower. They would then be planted proportionately closer together. I would suggest maybe five feet apart.
