Kumquats - Knowledgebase Question

I bought a home after Katrina that has a kumquat tree. I t was bearing fruit then. That was about 3 months ago. It is now full of flowers. Does that mean that it is going to bear fruit again? Also, I just planted a

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

I am not sure about the Brown Select variety of Satsuma as I haven't grown that particular one. However they all are pretty good varieties with Satsumas. I think your Kumquat is right on track and should be ripening this next crop of fruit in the fall season. You may have just seen some fruit that was left hanging on the tree from an earlier harvest.
