The Q&A Archives: Spiddle Bugs in my Lawn

Question: Please help.... I have spiddle bugs that took over my lawn. I had them sprayed for and now they are coming back. My neighbors have not sprayed. What can I put down to get them gone. THEY HAVE ATTACKED MY LAWN......

Answer: Mitzi,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Most turf insecticides will kill spittlebugs and one such product is acephate. This is best applied in the early morning hours. The following web page gives more info on controlling spittle bugs.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
