I recently planted a Pink Fountain Gaura. I followed the instructions on the card and I have been watering it daily in the evening. I have two of the plants. Both are wilting and the flowers are dying. The leaves and stems are not green anymore either. It seems the whole plant is dying. Is there anything I can do to help it? I even started it with Miracle Gro and we put Top soil, peat moss, humus and manure in the flower bed before we planted it.

Thanks,
Heather Breeze

Based on your description I think you are probably overwatering the plant. This plant needs a well drained soil and will not tolerate soil that is sopping wet or saturated. At this point, back off on the watering and check the soil with your finger to see when you need to water again. Trim off the affected stems and discolored leaves. Hopefully, it will regrow from the base.
