| Earwigs are attracted to areas that remain damp and where there is decaying organic matter. Keep mulch and gravel away from the foundation of your house to eliminate damp hiding areas. Seal or caulk any gaps around the foundation to exclude them from your home. Locate any sources of excess moisture and redirect the water away from the house; look for overflowing gutters or drain spouts that do not direct the water away from the foundation, leaking outdoor faucets, and so on.
