Moving to zone 9 - Knowledgebase Question

In a few months I will be moving from the north to the south. I have not gardened in this region before can you tell me of a good planting guide or book that I coould bye to get me started in my new zone.

This depends which area of the country you are moving to. In California or the west coast, you would definitely start with the Sunset Western Garden Book. In the southern states I would suggest you begin with your local state extension service, many of them have excellent web sites and then your local personnel and/or Master Gardeners can recommend books or references best suited to your specific local conditions and your own particular gardening interests.
