i am having trouble with my lily of the nile- some i just planted this past march and they are not blooming and some have been planted for a year and are not blooming this year- any tips

If the foliage is healthy it is not clear why they are not blooming. In too much shade they may lack the carbohydrates to bloom well. I might suggest you try a fertilization with a product containing a high middle number (phosphorus). Take care however to not fertilize too much and stimulate excessive vigor as this may deter blooming. Perhaps also with a little time the plants will start blooming normally. Sometimes plants can be peculiar in that way. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
