Shade Perennial in bloom late Sept? - Knowledgebase Question

I planted some flowers from a friends yard, but they didn't come up this year. I'm having a party at the house 9/30, so would like a perennial that likes shade, that will be in bloom then. Thanks!

I can provide a list of flowers that bloom in September and October, but most prefer full sun to at least part day sun.
