| Saving tomato seeds is possible, but most will cross-pollinate so what you'll get might be quite different from the parent. It's risky, but might be worth a try. Or, you can purchase Beefsteak Tomato seeds from Burpee (online). Summers in Long Beach are not as hot, nor as long as summers on the east coast so you might want to try a short season beefsteak variety. There are lots of choices if you visit their website.
