Do calla lillies need a lot of water and do they need to be in the sun or shade. I have planted a few and they are wilted. Are they dying or does this happen, I am new to gardening?

I think what is happening is perfectly natural. They aren't dying, but are going into a rest period. Calla lilies will grow in full sun to part shade. They grow best in rich, moist, well-drained soil. In fact, they tolerate areas too moist for other bulbs. Most Calla Lilies need a rest period after flowering, so gradually withhold water until the leaves die back and let plants rest for 2 to 3 months before resuming watering to encourage new growth.
