We have day lilies/daisies/cone flowers, and many other perennials that have overgrown and we want to split them and transplant elsewhere in the yard/ also grasses. When do we do this after they blossom in sprint/summer or the fall? thank you Kathy

In general the time to divide perennials is in very early spring just as they begin to grow, or in the fall about 8 to 10 weeks before the ground freezes. A few, such as grasses, should only be divided in the spring. And a few, such as peonies, should only be divided in the fall.
