| My pumkins came by surprise this year in my flower bed, (must have been last years Halloween pumpkin)3 seperate plants grew and I had to move them to prevent overtaking my flowers. they were facing South and are now facing East. I have never trimmed them back and they appear to have survived but in shock (wilted) any suggestions to revive/save them? |
| I suspect they are just showing signs of transplant shock. Water them regularly and wait for new growth. You can cut off the wilted and dead plant parts once new growth is coming on strong. It will be interesting to see what the fruits look like. Squash and pumpkins cross pollinate quite easily so what you end up with may not look anything at all like the original Halloween pumpkins you grew last year. Best wishes with your garden! |
