When is the best time to apply weed killer to the lawn??? |
Malevy, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! Weed killers can really stress and damage St. Augustine when applied when temperatures have risen to 85 degrees or above. It is best not to use them except in the spring and fall. Your County Extension Office can assist with identifying weed samples you bring in and suggesting the best time and product or cultural technique to control them. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
