The Q&A Archives: planter box

Question: I am looking to build an outdoor planter box and was told that I should make it out of garden bricks

Answer: You could use a wide variety of materials for a raised bed planter depending on your budget and personal preference. You could use bricks, cinder blocks, treated landscape timbers (not recommended for a vegetable bed), or one of the new composite products for example. It is usually a good idea to try to integrate it with the rest of your landscape by using a material that is already used elsewhere in your yard or on your house. I hope this answers your question.
