My husband and I planted a small vegetable garden a couple months ago. We built a small area to put them at the edge of the yard. Now our landlord wants to put up fence and I think its going to end up going right through the middle of what we planted. Will it hurt to move them into planters now that they are putting off vegetables? I hate to move them but I don't want to destroy them either! Please help!

If you have no choice, you'd better move them now. The longer you wait, the bigger the plants will become and the bigger the root systems. You may retard fruiting and flowering until the plants become established in their new homes, but that's better than having them destroyed by the fence builders. Best wishes with your veggies!
