| David, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! The best time to trim azaleas is right after they bloom. This will allow the to regrow and set bloom buds in mid to late summer for next year. You can snip a few gangly shoots here and there now without much loss of bloom but save any significant cutting until after next spring's bloom season. Thanks for the question.
