we bought a small Parade Rose good for growing indoors or out. Some Roses have finished and several more will bloom. How often do we need to cut the roses? Some of the leaves are pale brown what shald we do? |
Iria, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! Cut off the spent blooms when they are done. Wait to prune the rose plant itself until February. Keep it growing by feeding it regularly with a soluble product such as Miracle Gro following label instructions. Also keep the soil moist but not soggy wet. This will help maintain good color and vigor. If leaf diseases appear a fungicide spray will be needed. Your Home Depot has several such sprays for rose disease prevention. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
